Description: The GL range of portable approach aids use new lighting technology to allow ground breaking portability and ease of deployment. Light weight  & compact size. Does not require special packaging - only a padded shoulder bag and over the shoulder tripod container. Primary use is as a helicopter approach path indicator but equally useful for improvised fixed wing runways.  3 minute rapid deployment.   Powered by any 12V source, the maintenance free lamps have a range up to 18nm at night ( typically 10nm in moderate visibility ) and continuous operation capability for 6 hours from 6AA size Lithium batteries. Dual beams produce a 3 color presentation (US Navy protocol) in pulsed or alternating colors. Also available civil RED / WHITE & single color pulsed IR .
